Perform at Holiday In The Park
Six Flags Over Texas is excited to offer your group the opportunity to perform during the 2009 season. This opportunity is open to elementary, middle and high school choirs, as well as church choirs and ensembles. Groups must be a minimum of 15 performers and must not exceed 100 performers.
This information will guide you to understand what Six Flags is looking for.

How to Secure a Performance Time

Read over the Holiday In The Park Guest Artist Performance Guidelines.

Look over the Holiday In The Park performance dates and times. Select three (3) possible performance dates for your group. Booking is done on a first-come, first-served basis.

Fill out the Holiday In The Park Guest Artist Application. Remember to list the number of tickets for performers and chaperones.

Fax the Choir Application to the number on the back of this brochure. The sooner you submit your application the better your chance of securing the first date and time you request.

Once your date is booked you will receive a confirmation packet in the mail.

If all of your requested dates have already been taken, you will be contacted immediately to make another selection and then confirmation will be sent.

YOUR TICKET ORDER FORM and MONEY MUST BE IN NO LATER THAN NOVEMBER 14, 2009
Groups Invited:
-
Six Flags welcomes elementary, middle and high school groups as well as church choirs and ensembles.

High School, College, independent and semi professional dance studios and companies.

Groups must be a minimum of 15 performers with a maximum of 100. Exceptions may be made in extreme circumstances; however, written approval must be secured from the Six Flags Over Texas Entertainment Department.

Performance must be 20 minutes but not exceed 25 minutes in length. We request that the bulk of the musical selections be of a secular nature. No skits or plays will be allowed.

Accompaniment must be in the form of CD. Your performance must be pre-recorded without lead vocals.

Performers must be in some type of IDENTICAL costuming - they must look like they are a part of a group, although choir robes are not required.

Ball caps and plain clothes are not approved performance attire for the Guest Artist Program. Jeans are sufficient but not recommended.
Performance Locations and Times -
Groups will be booked to perform on one of three stages located throughout the park.

Performance times will be in one of these categories: Early, Mid, Late. See the Calendar of Available Performance Dates and Times for specifics.

The group size will determine the stage on which each group will be assigned.

Bookings will be done on a first-come, first-served basis.

The entire performing group must meet the Six Flags Choir Representative at their designated performance site at least 45 minutes prior to their performance time.

Three outdoor performance venues

Four corded microphones with stands

One CD player

Two speakers

Two stage monitors
-
One person to operate the sound equipment.

Chairs
-
Extension Cords
-
Storage for equipment and/or costumes

Dressing areas

Risers (if risers are already on a stage, they are not movable or optional)

Piano and/or accompanist
NOTE: No keyboards or other electrical instruments will be allowed to patch into the sound system.
