TONY HAWK'S PROJECT 8 BOOM BOOM HUCKJAM TOUR LANDING AT SIX FLAGS OVER GEORGIA JUNE 5 & 6.

EXCLUSIVE OUTDOOR SUMMER TOUR FEATURES EIGHT ACTION SPORTS SUPERSTARS

May 29, 2007 - Atlanta - Six Flags Over Georgia will host legendary skateboarder Tony Hawk, along with some of the top action sports athletes in the world, for an exclusive engagement of Tony Hawk's Project 8 Boom Boom HuckJam.  The tour, part of a two-year collaboration between Tony Hawk's popular HuckJam tour and Six Flags, features the high-flying excitement of skateboarding, BMX, and freestyle Moto-X.  On June 5 and 6, eight extreme athletes will perform in two exhibitions each day, packed with awesome music, live emcee Jason Ellis and plenty of amazing airtime.

Tony Hawk was a professional skater at 14 and the No. 1 ranked vert skater in the world for 12 straight years.  According to Marketing Evaluations Inc., which produces the Q Scores survey, a measure of public figures' familiarity and appeal, Hawk is one of the top ten most recognizable athletes in the world among 12-to-24-year-olds.  He has won 16 X Games medals, both for best tricks and best overall vert skating, and is a four-time Kid's Choice and three-time Fox Teen Choice award winner.
Hawk has also created one of the best-selling award-winning video game franchises of all time with over $1 billion in sales; has his own clothing line; and in 2006 released an animated movie.  He will star in both shows daily, taking place at 2:30 p.m. and 5 p.m.  In addition, Tony Hawk's popular HuckJam branded merchandise will be available for sale during the tour.

"Tony Hawk is an internationally-recognized athlete and skateboard icon, and while our mission is to make our park more attractive to families, our alliance with Tony Hawk's tour underscores our sustained commitment to our teen audience," said Melinda Ashcraft, Six Flags Over Georgia vice president and general manager.  "We've made a pledge to diversify our entertainment so the Six Flags experience is about more than just rides, and bringing Tony Hawk to the park for the second year in a row is a perfect illustration of that.  He is unquestionably a major draw, and we know our younger guests will love the chance to see him and his fellow action sport super stars in person."

NEW this year will be an exclusive media hour starting at 12 noon on Tuesday, June 5. Tony Hawk, along with other athletes, will be available for interviews for one hour. Please RSVP by Thursday, May 31 to reserve your spot and for information on where it will be held.

Admission to the live shows is free with park admission. General admission is $49.99, with junior admission (48 inches and under) at $29.99. Discount tickets may be purchased online with the park's Print-N-Go online ticket system accessed at www.sixflags.com
