Guess Who's Full Steam Ahead Into Georgia?
Next stop: Six Flags Over Georgia for Thomas the Tank Engine™ and friends

All Aboard! Everyone's favorite #1 engine, Thomas the Tank Engine is full steam ahead into the all new kids area at Six Flags Over Georgia. Thomas Town will debut Saturday, May 17, 2008, as part of a $2.5 million capital project and will feature elements from the Island of Sodor that have entertained children for more than six decades.

Sir Topham Hatt, Controller of the Railway, will be in the area to welcome guests to Thomas Town;  Annie and Clarabel will join Thomas as passenger cars, offering rides for kids and kids at heart.  Thomas Town will also feature a themed playground structure and a soft playground area with Harold the Helicopter and Bertie the Bus crawl throughs. Finally, the new kids area will have a merchandise store where guests can purchase the latest Thomas & Friends™ books, toys, train sets and apparel.

"Thomas Town is another great attraction for families to visit at Six Flags Over Georgia," said Park president Melinda Ashcraft. "Thomas the Tank Engine has resonated with children for generations, and we're thrilled that we have the opportunity to bring the story to life for its fans."

Thomas Town will be the second dedicated kids area in the park. Fans of Thomas the Tank Engine can follow the progression of Thomas Town by viewing a construction blog at www.sixflags.com/overgeorgia.

There are several activities lined up to make sure the #1 engine gets the welcome he deserves. Sir Topham Hatt and park representatives are visiting schools and daycare centers to read Thomas & Friends stories to children. The park also launched a "March is Reading Month" contest for Cobb County elementary school first graders where they wrote stories about Thomas & Friends with the chance to win complimentary tickets for an entire class.

Thomas Town is just one of the "40 Fun Things For Kids To Do" at the Six Flags Over Georgia, where kids 48" and under can get in free all season long with the purchase of an adult ticket at participating Publix supermarkets. To experience Thomas Town and the other family-friendly attractions at Six Flags Over Georgia, fans may also purchase a season pass for the 2008 season and visit the park as often as they'd like. Season passes are available for only $69.99 and pay for themselves in less than two visits.

Six Flags Over Georgia is open during weekends in March and every day from April 5–13 for Spring Break. For additional information, including hours, pricing, events and more, visit www.sixflags.com/overgeorgia.
