Six Flags Over Georgia Presents "Live and Local"
Park searching for local acts to perform this summer
Six Flags Over Georgia is currently booking local acts to perform on Friday and Saturday nights at the park this season as part of its new "Live and Local" entertainment series. Live and Local will kick–off on Friday, May 23, and lasts through Aug. 16 with two to three bands performing each night.
Local bands should send a demo CD to the park and must be family-friendly in terms of lyrics. A variety of bands have already been selected for performance dates with acts ranging from a 10– and 11–year–old brother-sister duet to Rock, Country, Christian and R&B.
"This is a great opportunity for local acts like your typical 'weekend warrior dads' to play in front of thousands of guests," said Park Entertainment Manager Josh Fangman. "And, our guests will benefit by hearing local musicians while they come out for a day of family entertainment."
Bands will perform outdoors in front of the park's Drive–In Theater. Each group will perform a 60–minute set.

Groups from around the Southeast are encouraged to apply for the opportunity to play. Live and Local at Six Flags Over Georgia does not provide any compensation for these performances.

Six Flags Over Georgia also has 25 concerts booked that feature national recording artists such as Natasha Bedingfield, Mario, Aly & AJ and Raven Symone, amongst others. All concerts are free with park admission.
