Six Flags Now Open Daily for Summer
Everyone pays kids price promotion, Skull Island and more entertainment to kick-off park's daily operation
Six Flags Over Georgia has always been a great destination for both kids and kids at heart. And now, both of these groups can pay the same price for admission into the Southeast's largest regional theme park, just in time for the launch of Skull Island, new daily entertainment shows and the opening of Thomas Town℠.
The "Everyone Pays Kids Price" promotion will last through the end of the season. Kids tickets are $29.99 and all park goers, even adults, can take advantage of this offer simply by purchasing tickets online at www.sixflags.com. The main gate admission for adults is still the reduced price of $39.99.
"Prices are going up everywhere you look, but we keep rolling back our prices at Six Flags Over Georgia in an unprecedented fashion," said Park president Melinda Ashcraft. "We are committed to being an affordable entertainment option for families this summer who want a great value."
Everyone Pays Kids Price starts with the park's daily operation for the summer. In addition, the park is launching many new daily activities, including five live entertainment shows, for the summer season to provide even more value to guests:
-
Skull Island – This massive, interactive water play structure includes eight slides, ranging from six-feet to 42–feet in height. Children must be at least 36" tall to ride slides, but all can visit this Caribbean–themed area to cool off during the hot summer.
-
Thomas Town – The all-new Thomas & Friends™ themed kids area is now open. The area features a Thomas the Tank Engine™ train ride (must be 48" to ride alone; all heights permitted when riding with an adult), an interactive playground structure, daily meet–and–greets with Sir Topham Hatt℠ and crawl–through areas featuring Bertie the Bus℠ and Harold the Helicopter℠.
-
Back to the Beach – One of many new live, daily entertainment shows where guests can head back to the beach for some fun in the sun. Songs of the summer and high energy dance moves are packed into 15 minutes of family fun with several shows each day.
-
Rockin' and Rollin' Parade – Bugs Bunny and his friends are Rockin' and Rollin' every day through the streets of Six Flags. This new daily parade will take place at 4:00 p.m. each day.
-
Flashback! – Welcome to 1950's USA where the hippest chicks and coolest cats are gettin' down because school is out and your invited to the biggest sock hop of the summer. This streetmosphere entertainment show will take place three times daily on the steps of guest favorite, Dee Jay's Diner. Grab your poodle skirts and bowling shirts and let us take you back in time to the golden years of Rock and Roll.
-
Six Flags Storytime – Guests will be able to relax, pull up a chair and listen to an exciting tale unfold with the help of some of our special friends and Looney Tunes characters.
-
Dance Party – Our new streetmosphere will surely make you smile. We'll be dancing in the streets with Looney Tunes characters and encouraging our guests to take part in the all the action.
-
Six Flags Friends – The park will launch its summer season of philanthropy with a new in park recycling program and promotion of "A Walk in the Park." This 2k walk is presented by Six Flags Friends and Cure Kids Cancer and will take place on Sunday, Sept. 7. For more information, visit www.walkintheparks.org.
