Six Flags Over Georgia Announces Christian Music Weekend Numerous artists to perform during Easter weekend – Kids 48" and under can get in free
March 12, 2008 – The biggest names in Christian Music are coming to
Six Flags Over Georgia during Easter weekend to provide the best Good Friday celebration in town. Artists performing during the two-day event, March 21-22, include Natalie Grant, Superchick, Disciple and more. All concerts will take place in the 10,000 seat Southern Star Amphitheater located inside the park.
Sponsored by J93.3, Christian Music Weekend at Six Flags Over Georgia is free with park admission, and kids 48" and under get in free all season long with the purchase of an adult ticket at participating Publix supermarkets. That means that kids 48" and under can see these great Christian music artists for free!
In addition to the concerts, families who attend Christian Music Weekend can enjoy everything Six Flags has to offer, from heart-pounding coasters to interactive shows and thrilling rides suitable for all ages.

Christian Music Weekend artists have received numerous accolades. Britt Nicole was voted "most likely to be the breakout artist of 2008" by CCM Magazine, and Superchick's "Stand in the Rain" hit #1 on the R&R Christian Hit Radio (CHR) chart in 2006. The song spent nine weeks at #1, and was the 18th most played CHR song in 2007.
In addition, Natalie Grant was nominated as the Best Artist of 2008 by the Gospel Music Association, and The Afters featured the number one most downloaded inspirational song in 2007: "Beautiful Love".
The concerts will begin at 5:00 p.m. Friday and 3:00 p.m. Saturday. Operating hours for Six Flags Over Georgia are 10:30am - 9:00 p.m. Friday and 10:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. Saturday.
