Better Entertainment, Better Service, Better Value
and Close to Home
Six Flags New England, the entertainment capital of New England, announced today a new family-friendly main gate ticket price of only $39.99, a $10 price reduction from the 2007 season and the lowest price since 2004. The new main gate price becomes effective May 27.
"In these challenging economic times, our top priority at Six Flags is to deliver an unforgettable experience for the entire family at a more affordable price," said Larry Litton, Park President. "We are lowering prices, while at the same time offering unprecedented value with more concerts, special events and an awesome new nighttime parade."
The debut of Glow in the Park, an electrical light nighttime spectacular, will bring the park to life like never before. Guests will be fascinated by dramatic,
state-of-the-art floats, a custom musical score and an amazing light show.
Glow in the Park is the brainchild of world renowned creative director Gary Goddard, the mastermind behind a long list of major attractions including the Amazing Adventures of Spiderman, Star Trek: The Experience, and the Jurassic Park River Adventure at the Universal theme parks. Goddard has enlisted one of
Cirque Du Soleil's premier composers, Benoit Jutras, to create the music for the parade. For float designs, the internationally acclaimed conceptual parade designer Raul Rodriguez was commissioned. Michael La Fleur, whose resume includes artistic coordinator for Celine Dion's "A New Day" in Las Vegas and Imagineer for Disney, will create fluid choreographed numbers for the Glow in the Park performers.
In addition to the Glow in the Park Parade, Six Flags New England has a fully loaded 2008 season of thrills for all ages:
- Six Flags is home to 10 thrilling coasters headlined by Superman: Ride of Steel, the #1 steel coaster on the planet;
- The park also offers 3 children's areas including Wiggles World and
Thomas Town™;
- New England's largest water park, Hurricane Harbor, is FREE with park admission and boasts two 500,000-gallon wave pools, more than a dozen slides, a children's play area, and the water coaster, Typhoon; and
- The Starburst Thursday Night Concert Series returns starring great artists like Raven, Gavin DeGraw, Mario, Flo Rida and Demi Lovato.
