The American Music Awards was amazing and our seats could not have been better at the Nokia Theatre. All the songs sounded so much better live and the performers put on what I consider to be the best AMA show I’ve seen so far. Of course my favorite performer is still Chris Brown. Fergie led off the show and I was very excited since I met her in person the day before and posed for pictures with her. Sean and I also posed for pictures with Krazie Bone from Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, who happened to win Favorite Rap/Hip-Hop Group. We were just a few feet away from many of the performers on the
Red Carpet. The only disappointment for me was that the show ended too soon. I would have loved for them to perform all night. It was an experience I will never forget and I still cannot believe I was so lucky to win.

Now that the big trip is a week away, I am more excited than ever.  I had a legitimate excuse to go spend money on clothes yesterday and I actually spent the whole entire day shopping.  I can not wait to wear my dress to the American Music Awards.  I'm not sure who is more excited -- me or Sean.  It's been hard at school to concentrate now that the trip is coming up.  Not only am I thinking of the American Music Awards but maybe I'll even get to meet Avril Lavigne and Chris Brown in person.  All my friends are just as excited and can not wait to hear about the trip.  I only wish they were all going with me!

 I can't believe that I've won a trip to the American Music Awards!! Who thinks they ever have a shot at winning a sweepstakes!?

My Mom purchased the Six Flags Season Pass online the morning of my trip to Great Adventure just last month which automatically entered me into the contest. It was the first time she had ever purchased a Season Pass for me, but she knows I love Six Flags Great Adventure. And I could now go as often as I want without worrying about paying each time. Last time I went to Great Adventure was in October when a bunch of my friends decided to go there for Fright Fest. We all had such a great time!

My Dad was the first to hear that I won a trip to the American Music Awards and he was skeptical when he received the call because we had never won anything in the past. After Carol from the Six Flags Corporate office convinced him it was for real, he immediately called my Mom with the great news. When I had walked in the door after school, my Dad and Mom were both on the phone with Carol. They informed me that I had won and my Dad gave me the phone. Immediately, I started text messaging my friends and soon had to make a big decision on who to take with me!! The first person I told was one of my best friends, Sean. Sean actually took me to Great Adventure in October so I chose him to come with me to California to see the American Music Awards.

I am very excited to go to Los Angeles and I can not wait to see Avril Lavigne and Chris Brown performing at the American Music Awards. I am very anxious for this trip and I definitely need to go shopping this week!  Stay tuned - I'll share more details as I get them.
