Sept. 12-13 and Sept. 19-20 respectively

  • Public can sign “Message to the Troops” cards at all parks on Sept. 27 [Chicago Park - 9/19]

  • Park tickets available to active members of the military at participating Chrysler, Jeep® and Dodge dealers with test drive

Chrysler Group LLC, in partnership with Six Flags, Inc., will honor members of the military during
Six Flags Military Appreciation Days at 12 parks during the month of September. At two of those parks, military families and the general public will be able to send greetings to soldiers serving in Iraq and Afghanistan via Freedom Calls, a state-of-the-art video conferencing, telephone and internet service that connects troops to their loved ones at home free of charge.

Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, New Jersey will conduct Freedom Calls on Sept. 12-13 and
Six Flags over Texas in Arlington will hold calls on Sept. 19-20. The calls will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Scheduled calls will last for approximately 30 minutes each. Families wanting to connect with loved ones serving abroad should contact Kathryn at Freedom Calls Foundation between 8 a.m.-10 p.m. (EDT) at 917-755-1801.

“Throughout our history, Chrysler has supported the military. We continue that tradition through our partnership with Six Flags by providing a way for our troops, serving courageously in remote locations, to connect with their families back home,” said Michael Accavitti, President & CEO — Dodge Brand and Lead Executive for Marketing, Chrysler Group LLC. “Freedom Calls helps lift the morale of the men and women in uniform who have been separated from their loved ones in service to our country. We are proud to be able to make these vital communication services available to them.”

In addition to offering Freedom Calls, participating Chrysler, Jeep® and Dodge dealers will also have family four-packs of tickets available for admission to all of the parks for active military personnel who come into a dealership for a test-drive. Chrysler will also provide discounted admission for active military personnel at the park.

“Military Personnel Welcome” signage and a special “Message to the Troops” card will be on display and available for all guests to sign on Sept. 27, along with interactive vehicle displays, staffed by product specialists.

Chrysler Group and Six Flags announced in June that they would be extending their partnership for one year, making Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge vehicles the Official Vehicles of Six Flags Theme Parks and giving millions of consumers a first-hand experience with Chrysler, Jeep® and Dodge vehicles.
