Six Flags Magic Mountain Delivers Thrills by Day, Chills by Night
OCTOBER 6-7, 12-14, 19-21 and 26-31.
VALENCIA, CA
Six Flags Magic Mountain is transformed from a "theme park" to a haunted "scream park" for Fright Fest, Southern California's ultimate Halloween experience.
Six Flags Magic Mountain offers 14 days of terrifying haunted mazes, roaming zombies, the Globe of Death and extreme rides in the dark such as Tatsu, Goliath, Scream, Viper and The Riddler's Revenge. Beginning October 6 and running for four frightfully fun weekends, Fright Fest has left no tombstone unturned to bring guests the ultimate sensory overload for every range of fear. And, a Fright Fest exclusive - experience one of the largest, most celebrated coasters in the world, Colossus, BACKWARDS! For the little monsters, a kid's craft area and costume contest in Bugs Bunny World round out the activities.
This year's Fright Fest will feature three new attractions including the Coffin of Fear, Wheel of Fright and the Heckles and Twitch Show starring two big, irreverent, off-beat clowns; Heckles and Twitch, whose menacing dark humor compliment the Fright Fest spirit.
Fright Fest hours are from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on weekends and 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Fridays and October 29-31. All Fright Fest attractions are FREE with park admission.
HAUNTED MAZES:
- DEADMAN'S BOG
If a body falls in the woods and no one is around, does it make any noise? Let's hope so, otherwise they'll be able to sneak up behind - without your knowing! The Willoughby family had many secrets in their time, and these secrets have found a quiet, dark place to "live" in the woods behind the mansion. Find your way down the dark path leading to the mansion's rear entrance, but beware of those you may meet along the way because their "people skills" are not what is normally expected. The path through Willoughby Woods begins at Tidal Wave.
- BRUTAL PLANET
This 6,500 square foot maze offers brutal monsters, brutal chills and brutal thrills in a universe of unknown dimensions. Grab your boarding pass and prepare to be transported to a place where evil lurks and chaos reigns. We hope to see you back on earth… if you make it through the 12 demon filled lands! (Not intended for children under 10, ages 13 and under must be accompanied by an adult.)
- WILLOUGHBY'S HAUNTED MANSION
Beware, the bewitching hour has struck. This sanctuary of strangeness is Halloween horror at its best. Hair-raising terror awaits guests around each nightmarish turn and long twisting hallway. The fearful encounter features animatronics, gruesome monsters, camouflage rooms and much more. The mansion is situated high atop the mountain - at Samurai Summit. (This attraction is not intended for children.)
- JOKESTER'S HIDEOUT 3D
An all black light 3D experience! Jokester's 3D brings an all new dimension to Six Flags Fright Fest with an odd and "colorful" walk-through experience. This is not your ordinary maze. There is no blood, no guts and no monsters. The goal is to sneak through the hideout to catch a peek of what projects the Jokester and his crew are working on. But watch your back…you never know when a crazy clown will strike. Located next to the Season Pass Processing building, behind the Warner Bros. Kids Club theater.
- NEW! HECKLES AND TWITCH SHOW
Gotham City Archway is the place to be as Southern California's scariest clown duo performs throughout the evening. Heckles and Twitch, brother clowns, are intensely frightening with colorful personalities bringing a chilling blend of horror and comedy that is sure to leave a lasting impression. The Heckles and Twitch Show "kicks off" each evening's part of the Fright Fest night as they bring together a large gathering of ghoulish figures.
- NEW! WHEEL OF FRIGHT
Spin the Wheel of Fright and see what strange delicacy you must eat. Win a prize for eating everything from a cockroach to a night crawler. Saturday nights at Gotham City Backlot stage.
- NEW! COFFIN OF FEAR
The ultimate test of bravery is at Six Flags Fright Fest. The fear of being buried alive comes to a realization as Park guests are placed in a coffin with thousands of creepy crawly mealworms. How long will you last? See how fearless you truly are and have a chance to win prizes. Saturday nights at Gotham City Backlot.
- NEW! MONSTER BASH ( DISC JOCKEY)
Dust off those thriller moves and party with creatures recently raised from the dead on Saturday nights in Gotham City. The fun includes Halloween trivia, music and a front row view of contestants testing their bravery in the Wheel of Fright and Coffin of Fear.
- SPINNING THUMPER BUMPERS
Navigate your way through pounding sound and pulsing illumination as the Sandblasters Bumper Cars are transformed into a totally new and extreme driving experience! These are not your ordinary bumper cars…take your pick of one of 22 techno-mobiles in this Fright Fest experience!
- COLOSSUS-BACKWARDS! (A Fright Fest Exclusive)
Experience one of the largest, most celebrated coasters in the world - BACKWARDS! That's right, back by popular demand. Travel nearly one mile on this dual track wooden coaster all while sitting completely backwards!
- TATSU, SCREAM!, GOLIATH, BATMAN THE RIDE, THE RIDDLER'S REVENGE, VIPER and more - IN THE DARK!
