Six Flags Magic Mountain To Host A Guitar Hero Challenge!

Experience Spring Break at the Thrill Park and Release Your Inner "Star Power!" Six Flags Magic Mountain Opens For DAILY Operation March 15

Six Flags Magic Mountain continues its 37th season of family fun and entertainment when the theme park opens for daily operation on Saturday, March 15. Kicking off the Park's daily operating schedule will be the largest Guitar Hero Challenge on the West Coast. For four days (March 17-20), Park guests will have the opportunity to show off their "star power" with other guests as they compete for Park and cash prizes in four categories; easy, medium, hard or expert. Guitar Hero Challenge is open to all Park guests (finals winners under 18 must have parent or guardian signature to collect cash prizes) and will be held in the Golden Bear Plaza from noon to 6 p.m. March 17 - 20. The top 10 point leaders in each category on each day will advance to the finals on March 20. The finals on Thursday, March 20, will begin at 4 p.m.

Family entertainment continues to be at the forefront of Six Flags this year. New to Six Flags Magic Mountain this year is the Sky Tower Magic of the Mountain museum, a compilation of 37 years of park history, located on the top of the landmark Sky Tower.

Throughout the spring and summer, Six Flags Magic Mountain will continue to host family concerts. Expanding their entertainment schedule that already includes Hallelujah Jubilee, Gospel Celebration and Latin Festival, the Park will welcome six nights of pop, rock and country artists during the new Sunday Rocks! Concert Series (July 6 - August 10).

In addition to shows and other attractions, guests can race, spin, dive and fly on many of the world's most electrifying coasters like TATSU, the newest "flying" beast to join the Six Flags world-class coaster dynasty; SCREAM!, Goliath, Viper, Déjà Vu and many more.

Get drenched on five wet and wild water rides like Roaring Rapids, Tidal Wave and Log Jammer. For the little thrill seekers, Bugs Bunny World is a six-acre interactive wonderland featuring 16 rides and attractions that parents and kids can experience together - including a traditional Six Flags roller coaster … only pint-sized!

Six Flags Magic Mountain is located at 26101 Magic Mountain Parkway, Valencia, north of Los Angeles off Interstate 5 at the Magic Mountain Parkway exit. The Park is open for daily operation beginning March 15.
