Six Flags Magic Mountain announced today the addition of a family coaster to the Valencia theme park in 2010, bringing the total number of coasters to 17. Joining the world-renown collection, the new coaster will debut in early summer and be located in the northwest corner of the Park, near last season's newest innovative thrill ride, Terminator® Salvation™: The Ride.
Six Flags fun will be even more affordable in 2010 with a new, lower Play Pass price. For just $54.99 (the price of a day's admission), guests can visit and enjoy the park any operating day during 2010. Unlike every other Southern California theme park, Six Flags Magic Mountain's Play Pass has no blackout dates and can be used for concerts and special events, including the Park's annual Fright Fest event during October and the New Year's Eve celebration.
Six Flags also offers a Combo Pass which is good for unlimited visits to both Magic Mountain and the adjacent water park, Hurricane Harbor. In an unprecedented move, the price for the Combo Pass was lowered $15 and is now available for $74.99.
On sale now online or at the Park, the Play Pass is good at all Six Flags theme parks across the country and comes with a Bonus Book worth over $300 in value-added Six Flags offers, including four FREE friend admissions, a FREE parking coupon, a FREE Hurricane Harbor admission ticket, plus discounts on food and merchandise.
In addition to Play Pass, Six Flags Magic Mountain also offers a limited number of the premium pass option - the Xtreme Play Pass - for guests who want a Six Flags VIP experience with every visit. In addition to all the benefits of the Play Pass, the Xtreme Play Pass includes a discount on Flash Passes (front of the line privileges), FREE parking, 25% off all Six Flags Magic Mountain merchandise purchases and a 20% discount at all Six Flags operated food locations (except carts), and an exclusive pre-park opening event during the year to experience the new family coaster. The Xtreme Play Pass is on sale for just $125 online or at the Park.
In 2010, Play Pass holders can race, spin, dive and fly on many of the world's most electrifying coasters found only at Six Flags Magic Mountain - like Terminator® Salvation™: The Ride, combining innovative thrill ride technology with a specially-designed wooden coaster; X2, the world's first five-dimensional coaster; TATSU, a "flying" beast; Scream, Southern California's first floorless coaster; Goliath, still The Giant Among Coasters; Colossus - a classic "woodie,"; Viper and many more.
Six Flags thrills come in many shapes and sizes - get drenched on five wet and wild water rides like Roaring Rapids, Tidal Wave and Log Jammer. Experience an array of exciting family shows like Mat Hoffman's Danger Defying Daredevils, the Looney Tunes Beach Bash Parade and unlimited special events like New Year's Eve, Fright Fest, Hallelujah Jubilee and more.
For the younger guests, Bugs Bunny World is a six-acre interactive wonderland featuring 15 rides and attractions that provide real thrills for kids and adults alike. Also for the littlest thrill seekers, the world-famous Thomas the Tank EngineTM is featured in the children's play area, Thomas TownSM.
Six Flags Magic Mountain is located at 26101 Magic Mountain Parkway, Valencia, north of Los Angeles off Interstate 5 at the Magic Mountain Parkway exit. Currently, the Park is open weekends and school holidays, including November 25 - 29 and December 12 - January 3, 2010 (except Christmas Day) and will open for daily operation on March 20, 2010.
