“GE Kids in Free Days” kicks off at The Great Escape on Saturday, June 2
FREE admission for all kids 12 and under with full-priced adult ticket
The Great Escape is pleased to announce its exciting partnership with GE to launch the popular “GE Kids in Free Days” family event series for the 2012 summer season. All children 12 and under will be admitted to The Great Escape FREE with an adult full-priced admission ticket on Saturday, June 2.
“We are very excited to partner with GE to help launch this important community initiative,” said Don McCoy, Park President, the Six Flags Great Escape Properties. “As the premier destination for kids during the summer, this is the best place to kick off this great program.”
Adding to the excitement for GE Kids Day at The Great Escape, it will also be the debut of the all-new Alpine Freefalls, a six-story, two-level water slide complex in Splashwater Kingdom. The exciting attraction will boast the park’s first free fall speed slide with Skybox technology and the Northeast’s first of its kind mat racer.
GE has been sponsoring "Kids in Free Days" at venues across the Capital Region for nearly a decade. Last year, more than 7,000 Capital Region youngsters attended a wide array of cultural, educational and sports events free-of-charge, courtesy of GE. These events are just a part of GE's major Capital Region community sponsorship program. GE will announce its full 2012 summer season Kids in Free Days schedule in the near future. Details can be found at www.gekidsinfreedays.com.
Great Escape is open for weekends and select weekdays through June 13 when daily operations begin through Labor Day. Splashwater Kingdom opens for the season on May 26.
