The American Red Cross Adirondack Saratoga Chapter and Six Flags Friends, the philanthropic arm of Six Flags, Inc., are collaborating to provide patrons attending the annual Celtic Festival an additional incentive for supporting the event. The Celtic Festival will feature some of the most well known and respected Celtic Entertainers including Hair of the Dog, Black 47, Blarney, Flynn 529, Wood's Tea Company, The Stoutmen Band, Wild Irish Acres Dancers, Sharie, Music in Harmony and Idette and the Sunrunners and Adirondack Pipe and Drum. Music, vendors, Irish Step Dancing, Irish Folk Art and Entertainment also will take place throughout the day.
For each ticket holder who attends the fundraising event on July 19, 2008 at West Mountain in Queensbury will be given a coupon for $7 off a general admission ticket to The Great Escape and Splashwater Kingdom. The coupon is good for any day at the park between July 20, 2008 and November 2, 2008. Funds raised from the Celtic Festival will benefit the American Red Cross Adirondack Saratoga Chapter and its programs.

Advance ticket prices are $20 for adults, $15 for Seniors (62+) and Students (up to 18 years of age) and children, 10 years of age and younger are free. A traditional Corned Beef and Cabbage Meal will also be served for $10 for adults and $7 for Seniors (62+) and Youth under the age of 10 Tickets can be purchased through the chapter's website or www.ticketweb.com or by contacting the chapter. The American Red Cross, Adirondack Saratoga Chapter is dedicated to saving lives and helping people prevent, prepare for and respond to emergencies. Led by a volunteer Board of Directors with 250 other volunteers and 10 paid employees, the local Red Cross is supported by community donations and provides services to Warren, Washington, Saratoga, Hamilton and southern Essex Counties. Last year the Red Cross ran 650 aquatic courses and 1048 first aid and CPR courses, collected over 19,000 units of whole blood, helped deliver 303 emergency messages for members of our armed forces, and assisted more than 1,250 neighbors who were affected by local disasters.
