Local Charities Offered FUNdraising Opportunity
“Spring Spin — One Good Turn To Benefit Another™ ”
Charities can start registering today for 2009 season
Six Flags Friends is proud to support local nonprofit organizations with a unique fundraising opportunity called Spring Spin: One Good Turn to Benefit Another™.
This is the fifth year the Spring Spin™ fundraiser has been held in conjunction with The Great Escape & Splashwater Kingdom's season opening. In 2008, more than 140 groups participated, raising over $45,000 for their organizations.
Spring Spin: One Good Turn to Benefit Another™ is a fundraising program designed to help local nonprofits raise funds for their organizations while offering ticket purchasers the best value of The Great Escape & Splashwater Kingdom's
2009 season. Nonprofit organizations may sell tickets to the public for just $19.99, plus tax, instead of the regular park general admission price of $40.99, plus tax. Participating charities keep $5 from each ticket sold. Plus, guests purchasing tickets from participating charity organizations will enjoy unlimited rides, spectacular shows and incredible attractions, with an opportunity to revisit the park any day during the 2009 season by upgrading their ticket to a season pass for just an additional $39.99, plus tax.
Spring Spin™ patrons will be among the first to experience The Great Escape & Splashwater Kingdom's 2009 season filled with exciting rides, shows and attractions, including the debut of Sasquatch - a drop ride that shoots you to the top in three seconds then plummets you back to earth. Tickets to Spring Spin™ may be used any operating day in May (Saturday, May 9 and Sunday, May 10, Saturday, May 16 and Sunday, May 17, or Memorial Day Weekend, Friday, May 22, through Monday, May 25, and Thursday, May 28, Friday, May 29, Saturday, May 30 and Sunday, May 31, 2009). Spring Spin™ patrons have 12 days total from which to choose to visit the park!
Additionally, the three top-selling charity organizations involved with Spring Spin™ will receive bonus checks for $750, $300 and $150. Participating organizations are encouraged to begin selling tickets early with the hopes of raising as much as possible for their organization.
