This holiday season, The Great Escape is transformed into a winter wonderland with themed shows, festive foods and thousands of twinkling lights. Our new holiday celebration extends The Great Escape's 2009 operating season by 21 days, making it the longest in its 56-year history. Don't miss Holiday in the Park from November 20 through December 31.

Holiday in the Park Entertainment

This exciting brand new event features:

  • Three shows including all new Holiday in the Park characters
  • Santa's Workshop complete with elves and daily visits with Santa
  • Daily tree lighting ceremony at our 60-foot Christmas Tree
  • Family ice skating rink
  • Strolling Victorian carolers

  • Kids Holiday karaoke in Jolly Tree Theatre

Alpine Alley Snow Hill

After you experience the thrills of our world-class rides and attractions, feel the chills on our snow sledding hill.

*The construction of Alpine Alley Snow Hill is temperature dependent. Alpine Alley Snow Hill is planned to begin operation November 27.



Visit Santa

Santa and is elves are never far during Holiday in the Park. Visit him in is workshop and explore wonderful holiday decor and witness the elves hard at work preparing toys. This walk-through experience concludes with a special meet-and-greet with jolly Santa Claus.




Our Glorious Christmas Tree

Find yourself surrounded by thousands of lights as you venture through your journey at The Great Escape. Showcased in Carousel Plaza, encounter a glorious tree adorned with glistening lights and ornaments providing the perfect photo opportunity for family pictures. A special tree lighting ceremony will also take place every evening to commemorate the seasonal celebration.



Tis' the Season for Delicious Food

We have all kinds of holiday food from candy canes and toffee to warm cider and hot chocolate. But it doesn't end with sweet treats. Get holiday helpings of smoked turkey legs, corn on the cob, foot-long hot dogs, sausage-on-a-stick and fajitas. Check out all of our festive food choices.
