NATIONAL ORGANIZATIONS WE SUPPORT

Six Flags is pleased to highlight some of the national organizations that we support:

Give Kids The World

Six Flags Friends has been a proud partner of Give Kids The World for ten years.  The Give Kids The World Village (GKTW) is a 70-acre, non-profit resort in Central Florida that creates magical memories for children with life-threatening illnesses and their families. GKTW provides accommodations at its whimsical resort, donated attractions tickets, meals and more for a week-long, cost-free fantasy vacation. With the help of many generous individuals, corporations such as Six Flags, and partnering wish-granting organizations, Give Kids The World has welcomed more than 85,000 families from all 50 states and 60 countries. In addition, through the generous donation of admission tickets to the World Passport for Kids Program, children who have stayed at the Village, are able to visit their favorite local theme park free of charge, once they return home.  Six Flags Friends has been a longtime member of the World Passport Program and each year welcomes thousands of children and their families for a day filled with fun.  To learn more, log onto www.gktw.org

Tony Hawk Foundation

Six Flags supports the Tony Hawk Foundation's efforts to create high quality, public skateparks in low-income communities across the country. The Tony Hawk Foundation's annual fundraising event, Tony Hawk's Proving Ground Stand Up For Skateparks, took place on Sunday, October 7, 2007 in Beverly Hills, California. The exclusive event raised over $1 million for the Tony Hawk Foundation. Six Flags Friends was proud to be a part of this year's event. Visit www.tonyhawkfoundation.org for more information.

St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital Math-A-Thon

For more than 10 years, Six Flags has partnered with St. Jude Children's Hospital to help fight childhood catastrophic diseases around the world. In 2006 alone, the partnership helped to raise $16 million for the St. Jude Children's Hospital through the Math-A-Thon program. Math-A-Thon encourages kids from kindergarten through ninth grade to use their math skills to raise funds for St. Jude. Students raising $35 or more through this program receive a FREE TICKET to any Six Flags park. To learn more about the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital Math-A-Thon program, please visit www.mathathon.org/

Read to Succeed

Read To Succeed is a FREE supplemental language arts program presented by Six Flags theme parks and Weekly Reader to promote recreational reading. Every student who completes six hours of recreational reading within the given timeframe as part of the Six Flags Six Hour Reading Club will be rewarded with a free ticket valid at participating Six Flags theme parks. Schools with students in grades Kindergarten through 6 are eligible to participate. Children in pre-K and grades 7 or higher are not eligible.

Healthy Families America

Healthy Families America is a nationally-recognized, voluntary service that connects expectant parents and parents of newborns with free child development assistance in their homes.  Well-respected, extensively-trained assessment workers and home visitors provide valuable guidance, information and support to help parents be the best parents they can be.  HFA connects with families through hospitals, health care providers and other community organizations and  serves families of all cultures and income levels, meeting the needs of over 400 communities across the US and Canada.

The benefits of HFA are proven, significant and impact a wide range of child and family outcomes.  For more information, see www.healthyfamiliesamerica.org.  Six Flags Friends is proud to support Healthy Families America through our in-park Fountains for Foundations program.

Tuesday's Children

Tuesday's Children, which was founded in the aftermath of September 11th, has developed a unique and profound trust with the 9/11 families and children. Our innovative foundation of community based programs is planned to address challenges as they arise to provide guidance, support and encouragement. Through Project Common Bond, Tuesday's Children is now reaching out to children across the globe, who have been impacted by an act of terror.  To learn more, please visit  www.tuesdayschildren.org/

Extending Six Flags' commitment to children and families beyond the park borders and into the community, Six Flags and The Home Depot  have jointly constructed several KaBOOM! playgrounds for kids in cities near Six Flags parks. Six Flags and KaBOOM! partner each year to collaboratively build four playgrounds in four different Six Flags communities. The Home Depot is a founding sponsor of KaBOOM!, a national nonprofit group whose mission is to build a safe and healthy playground within walking distance of every child in America.  For more information about KaBOOM!, please visit www.kaboom.org.

Through fundraising and awareness programs, Six Flags Friends and Beyond Tribute help to re-spark the true meaning of Memorial Day while supporting the thousands of wounded veterans and military families across the
United States. Please visit  www.BeyondTribute.org.
