Six Flags Great America's New Water Ride Adventure Sets Sail
Buccaneer Battle opens May 15
The battle lines have been drawn and the flags have been raised as Six Flags Great America's new water adventure ride - Buccaneer Battle - sets sail May 15. Buccaneer Battle is a pirate-themed water attraction that incorporates lighting, music, dialogue, set design and special effects — launching guests on a voyage through a three-dimensional pirate world. Manufactured by Mack Rides,
Buccaneer Battle is located in County Fair next to Farmer's Market.
Buccaneer Battle engages guests in a fun-soaked battle as 10 ships, each with room for eight crew members, follow a 450-foot channel through waves of interactive fun for the entire family. As the ships navigate the waters, the battle begins with passengers armed with a powerful soaker gun taking aim at each other and targets along the way. Some targets respond while others display a variety of special effects, creating surprises at every turn. Buccaneer Battle also engages landlubber park guests along the ride's banks as the freebooters on the ship supply random fire and observers shoot back in ship-to-shore fun.
“Six Flags Great America is synonymous with family fun and the addition of Buccaneer Battle will continue that tradition.” said Park President Hank Salemi. “This interactive ride enhances the wide variety of family attractions available for our guests, including world-class coasters, children's rides and a free water park.”
Guests can play like a kid on Buccaneer Battle and pay like a kid to boot. The Everyone Pays Kids Price offer is available at sixflags.com though June. Additionally, guests can experience Buccaneer Battle all season long with a 2009 Season Pass. At $69.99, Season Passes are available at the lowest price in 10 years and only $15 more than a one-day ticket. Season Passes offer unlimited visits to any
Six Flags theme park in the United States, four free tickets for friends and more than $500 in savings on in-park food and fun.
