Construction crane lowers steel beams onto the top of The Dark Knight Coaster to finish the roofing support.









Lateral supports and steel framing nears completion.

Second level of the frame begins to be erected.

Construction crew installs steel girts to support the frame of The Dark Knight Coaster building.





First level of the building's frame is erected. Currently stands approximately 4.5 stories - will be 7 stories at completion.






Boxes containing the coaster's cars arrive.

Building supports are laid out, ordered and grouped for ease of construction.





Steel supports begin to be erected to frame the first half of The Dark Knight Coaster building.














January 28, 2008





Electrical conduit installed for computer control room.





Concrete floor laid and leveled.









Concrete sealer applied to prevent cracks and reduce wear.









Second shipment of track received, including base of lift.






January 15, 2008





First shipment of track and ride support pieces arrive on a snowy January day.



























Conduit begins to be laid for electrical wiring.









Drainage pipes are installed around The Dark Knight Coaster  site.









Building foundation is completed and crew begins to level the ground for concrete floor.

Construction crew evens out the wet concrete on the footings.





Wooden barriers are removed from the first layer of dried concrete and new barriers are beginning to be built for second layer.

Wooden barriers constructed for the Concrete footings of The Dark Knight Coaster.





Metal re-enforcement bars are erected inside footing barriers for added support.





First layer of concrete for the footings begins to be poured.

Demolition of the Batman & Robin: The Chiller coaster nears completion.





Demolition of The Movietown Water Effect clears way for The Dark Knight Coaster .
