Fun Facts & Fall Special Events
To create the look and feel of Fright Fest, we're adding…
• 700 bales of hay
• 4,000 mums
• 1200 pounds of webbing
• 1,400 corn stalks
• 9,000 lbs. of CO2 and 2,200 liters of liquid CO2 to create the "dry ice" effect of low-level fog
• 770 gallons of “fog juice” to create the mysterious, rising fog
• 11,000 lbs. of propane for spooky flame columns and fire bursts
• 1,300 oz. of airbrush makeup to create more than 150 ghouls
• 7 tons (14,000 lbs.) of average-size pumpkins
• 800 lbs. of extra-large pumpkins
American Red Cross Blood Drive – Sept. 29
Donate a pint of blood and receive a free Fright Fest 2012 ticket. Call 732/928-2000 ext. 2834 to schedule an appointment. Up to 200 donors on a first call, first serve basis. Must be 16 or older, at least 110 lbs. and in good health to donate. Blood Drive will take place in the Employment Center from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Wild Safari Cross Country Invitational—Sept. 29
Runners will have the chance to run 3.1 miles through the Wild Safari on September 29. Meet begins at 9 a.m. Visit www.sixflags.com/greatadventure for more information and to register!
Six Flags FestEVIL: Metalcore Show—Sept. 29
September 29, the theme park kicks off Fright Fest with our first ever metalcore show! Festival stage opens from 12-4 p.m. and the music continues in the Northern Star Arena starting at 6 p.m.
Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure—Sept. 30
Six Flags Great Adventure welcomes the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure September 30, 2012. Registration begins at 7 a.m. and walk begins at 8 a.m. For more information and to register visit komencsnj.org/race.
Electric Adventure Concert – Oct. 6
Six Flags Great Adventure welcomes the Electric Adventure electronic dance music concert to various stages throughout the park on October 6, 2012. Additional ticket will be required. Visit www.electricadventure.com for more details and to purchase tickets.
Jake Owen in Concert—Oct. 12

Six Flags GRAPE Adventure: A Wine and Food Event—Nov. 3 & 4
Saturday and Sunday, November 3 & 4, 2012, Six Flags Great Adventure will host the Third Annual post-season Wine Tasting Experience. The event will feature NJ wineries offering nearly 150 locally produced wines for sampling and music. Schedule a time for the Safari Tasting Tour which includes a private tour and stop in the Wild Safari. (Theme park is not open during this event.)
