MTV’s Jackass star Raab Himself to Host Cockroach Eating Contest at Six Flags Great Adventure’s Fright Fest

Six Flags Great Adventure’s twentieth anniversary of Fright Fest will culminate with the Mouthful of Misery cockroach eating contest October 29 and 30 featuring MTV’s Jackass star Raab Himself.  The park will offer free, VIP admission to the ultra-creepy, new Mortuary Manor terror trail for the first 20 guests who consume a giant, live, Madagascar hissing cockroach.

The stomach-churning event will take place at the Liberty Square Gazebo in the park’s Main Street section at 7:30 pm on October 29 and 30, with Raab making a special appearance on the park’s closing night, October 30.  Contest participants must be at least 18 years of age.

"I've seen some crazy things working with the Jackass guys, but eating Madagascar hissing cockroaches? That's just insane," Raab said.

Raab rose to fame on MTV’s Jackass and Viva La Bam.  Raab, a Philadelphia-area native who has appeared in several films including a cameo in the horror film The Perfect House released in 2011, is currently focused on a film project, Borrowed Happiness, written and directed by Raab and friend Gabe Staino.

Fright Fest runs Friday evenings, Saturdays and Sundays through October 30 and features two dozen “thrills by day” family-friendly events and “fright by night” terrifying attractions in addition to the park’s world-class lineup of thrill rides.  More information and tickets are available at www.sixflags.com/greatadventure.  Information on Raab’s most recent project is available at www.borrowedhappiness.com.
