Six Flags "Slides" into Summer with New White Castle Partnership

Two Six Flags theme parks - Great Adventure and Hurricane Harbor - announced today a new marketing partnership with White Castle.  The two entities will collaborate on a partnership that includes ride sponsorship, on-site couponing, signage and digital media presence via Six Flags Media Networks.

White Castle will become the official sponsor of three of Six Flags Hurricane Harbor's most exciting attractions - Cannonball, Wahini and Jurahnimo Falls water slides - creating the "Ultimate Slider."

"This partnership incorporates yet another highly recognizable brand into our park and demonstrates our continuing ability to increase brand awareness and drives sales with unique and dynamic platforms," says Mark Kane, Six Flags Park President, Great Adventure and Hurricane Harbor.

Additionally, during the month of July, White Castle will feature a specially-themed and branded meal - the Six Flags Sack Meal - to be sold at all New York and New Jersey restaurant locations.  Customers who purchase the meal will receive a special discount offer for admission to Six Flags Great Adventure.  In August, Six Flags guests will receive a special coupon, good for one free BBQ Pulled Pork Slider at area White Castle locations.

"White Castle and Six Flags are both brands with an incredible history and extremely devoted followers," notes Kim Bartley, Vice President of Marketing for White Castle.  "This partnership is a great opportunity for us to capitalize on these strengths while also exposing a new generation to both brands.  Burgers and theme parks - what could be more perfect for a summertime full of fun?!"

Ft. Lauderdale-based Zimmerman Advertising, White Castle's agency of record, was the catalyst behind the partnership.  "Both of these iconic brands are looking to expand.  This marketing initiative will allow Six Flags to expand the new and exciting experiences it can offer park attendees, and will allow White Castle to expand its footprint by exposing the next generation of "Cravers" to the White Castle Original Slider®.  We are looking forward to helping make this a successful venture for both brands," adds Founder and CEO Jordan Zimmerman.

About Six Flags
Six Flags, Inc. is a publicly-traded corporation headquartered in New York City and is the world's largest regional theme park company with 20 parks across the United States, Mexico and Canada.

About White Castle
At 88 years of age, only White Castle has had a hit movie based solely on a trip to obtain a sackful of Original Sliders® - "Harold & Kumar Go To White Castle," and it was written by two customers!

But when you add it up, the by-the-numbers White Castle math just can't compare to the steam-grilled science of creating that signature Original Slider®. Or the consistent history of high quality and great taste that turned fast food into big business and jumpstarted the nation's first hamburger century. (Well, almost a century: meat rationing during World War II forced the company to sell hot dogs and eggs.) But like other cult brands, White Castle acknowledges the shared secret language of committed Cravers across the country and has a history that includes: the First fast-food hamburger chain ever; First to sell a million hamburgers; First to sell a billion hamburgers; and First frozen restaurant-quality burger for sale in grocery.
