Six Flags Great Adventure Introduces 'Glow In The Park' -
A New Nighttime Parade

The Glow In The Park Parade Will Showcase A World Renown Creative Team Including Cirque Du Soleil's Chief Composer Benoit Jutras

Guests will watch in awe as drummers, puppeteers, singers, dancers and kinetic stilt walkers create an unparalleled nighttime spectacular in the all-new Glow in the Park parade at Six Flags Great Adventure.  Glow in the Park will incorporate the artistic talents of a highly distinguished production team creating a nighttime parade unlike any other.

The parade will utilize the combined talents of a world renowned creative team to help transform the park into this fantasyland of light, sound and motion.  The Gary Goddard Entertainment team, responsible for creating several attractions at various theme parks throughout the world as well as attractions in Las Vegas and Hollywood, enlisted one of Cirque Du Soleil's premiere composers Benoit Jutras to create the music for the parade.  For float design, the internationally acclaimed conceptual parade designer Raul Rodriguez was commissioned.  Michael La Fleur, whose resume includes artistic coordinator for Celine Dion's "A New Day" in Las Vegas, Imagineer for Disney and extensive Broadway musical and play work, will create fluid choreographed numbers for the Glow in the Park performers.  The final touches to the parade will be added by Mia Gyzander who will take on the task of designing and constructing more than 100 breath-taking costumes that will shimmer with bright colors, reflective fabrics and glowing lights.

"Six Flags Great Adventure is proud to introduce such a magnificent parade that utilizes world- acclaimed creative resources and talents," said Mark Kane, Six Flags Great Adventure, Hurricane Harbor and Wild Safari Park President.  "We are dedicated to providing superior and diversified entertainment that will thrill the entire family and are confident that our new Glow in the Park parade will add unparalleled excitement to our theme park offerings."

The Glow in the Park nighttime parade will step off near THE DARK KNIGHT Coaster, new in 2008 and will take approximately 45 minutes to wind through four themed sections including Movietown, Fantasy Forest, Main Street and the Boardwalk. The parade will feature five custom-designed floats, 65 performers and approximately 35 support staff members and technicians.  Each float will be adorned with vibrant-multicolored lights that will illuminate the midways and surround the guest with custom composed cirque-style music.

Each float will be accompanied by its own plethora of talented performers and characters.  The opening float will feature magical, cirque performers including rhythmic gymnasts, extreme rollerbladers, liquid drummers, stilt walkers and a live vocalist.  The Amazonia float will follow close behind with an awe-inspiring smoke-breathing dragon tamed by marching armies.  BATMAN is featured on the Gotham City float while the BATMOBILE, THE FLASH, ROBIN and THE GREEN LATERN secure the perimeter.  The Wiggles' famous cast of characters, Dorothy the Dinosaur, Henry the Octopus, Wags the Dog and Captain Feathersword sail next on the S.S. Feathersword with colorful starfish, seahorses and other sea creatures illuminating the waters below.  The parade will conclude with Bugs Bunny, his Looney Tunes pals and a cheerful pep squad.  Foghorn Leghorn, Porky Pig, Sylvester and Tweety Bird will accompany Bugs Bunny on his music float, Marvin the Martian will hover close by on his spaceship; Wile E. Coyote will attempt to capture Roadrunner; and Daffy Duck brings up the rear with the clean-up crew.

The Glow in the Park parade will kick off at 9 p.m. Memorial Day and will run weekends only through June 22.  Daily parade operation will begin June 23 and will run through Labor Day.
