Fright Fest presented by SNICKERS®

With Halloween just around the corner, Six Flags Great Adventure will raise the dead to celebrate "The Northeast's Largest Halloween Party" with its 18th annual Fright Fest Presented by SNICKERS®.  In addition to the world-class line-up of thrill rides, the theme park will transform into a 140-acre "scream park" with additional themed shows and attractions. 

Amid thousands of mums, cornstalks, hay bales, cobwebs and oversized spiders, you can roam the haunted midways and encounter "Thrills by Day, Chills by Night" entertainment. The month-long celebration will run Friday evenings, Saturdays and Sundays Oct. 3 through Nov. 1, plus Columbus Day Oct. 12.

Thrills by Day Entertainment

You will enjoy seasonally-themed shows, events and attractions including kid-friendly activities during the daylight hours. This year's Fright Fest will introduce tons more fun for the little ones including:

  • NEW! Monster Mash Bash - A Tale of Love at First Fright - Kids can check out the most famous monsters of Halloween Frankenstein, Wolfie, The Count and Igor in the all-new musical comedy featuring hits by Black Eyed Peas, Beyoncé, Michael Jackson, Sean Kingston and more!  Located in Bugs Bunny National Park

  • NEW! Mr. Six's Spooktacular Street Party- Guests can get their ghoulish grove on with the creepy crew as they dance to some classic Halloween tunes featuring the rater of fun - Mr. Six.  Located at the fountain.

  • NEW! Kidz Scary-oke - Kids can star in this karaoke show of Halloween hits. Located next to The Big Wheel.  

  • Get Ready to Wiggle Halloween Show- The littlest boys and ghouls can enjoy spooky fun with their favorite Wiggles friends, Dorothy the Dinosaur, Wags the Dog, Henry the Octopus and Captain Feathersword.  Located in Wiggles World.

  • Professor Slither's Creepy Critters - Professor Slither and his ghoulish gang will introduce guests to some of the creepiest critters including snakes, lizards, tarantulas and bearded dragons.  Guests can watch and learn as they dispel the frightening myths and phobias behind these amazing creatures and teach the importance of their roles in our ecosystem. Located in the Gazeboo on Main Street.

  • Trick-or-Treat Trail - Kids can receive treats from their favorite Looney Tunes pals in the Fantasy Forest next to The Character Café. Presented by Walgreens.

  • Dolphin Discovery: Shiver Me Flippers - Guests can join Captain Kelp and her merry band of pirates including dolphins and sea lions for this high seas misadventure.  Located at Fort Independence.  

  • Team Tiger: Jungle Rumble - Watch as Bengal tigers pounce, leap and swim in this amazing stage show.  Located in the Golden Kingdom. 

  • Elvira's Superstition ride simulator - A hilarious ride adventure featuring everyone's favorite Mistress of the Dark, Elvira.  Located on Boardwalk.

  • Dawn of the Dead & Local - Local bands perform live music during the daylight hours near the Northern Star Arena. 

Chills by Night Entertainment

When the clock strikes 6 p.m., the sun goes down and the ghouls come out.  Watch as the park transforms from "Thrills by Day" to "Chills by Night."

  • New! The Ghoulmaster's Ghosts - Guests can catch the sinister Ghoulmaster as he summons specters for a haunted dance party - Michael Jackson Tribute Show located at the Blood Fountain.

  • The Awakening - When the clock strikes 6 p.m., the sun goes down and the ghouls come out.  Watch as the park transforms from "Thrills by Day" to "Chills by Night" with a dramatic procession of the walking dead, a Thriller performance and the resurrection of Dr. Fright.  Runs from the Movietown to The Big Wheel. 

  • Ghoul Repellant - After 6 p.m. when the sun goes down and the ghouls come out, kids 12 years of age and under can fend off these pesky creatures with "ghoul repellant," a festive whistle that stops ghouls in their tracks.  (The park recommends that families with very young children exit the park by 6 p.m.)

  • Professor Zombini's  Freak Show- Guests can watch these sideshow freaks perform amazing feats of oddity straight from Coney Island in Circus Psycho.  Located on Boardwalk. 

  • Dead & Local Music Showcase - The popular Live & Local Music Showcase takes a sinister turn featuring dark, local bands performing hits on the Festival Stage. 

  • Zambora - Guests will watch as the beautiful Zambora of the Amazon summons the animal within and transforms into a ferocious gorilla beast.   Located in Boardwalk.

  • 10th Anniversary! Dead Man's Party - The park's most popular Fright Fest show, Dead Man's Party, will celebrate its 10th anniversary with hit songs and red-hot choreography produced by "So You Think You Can Dance" first season's runner up, Ashlé Dawson. The show has entertained thousands over the past decade and this season's production will take guests down memory lane incorporating hit songs from its 10 season run.  The broadway-style production features 10 zombie performers, hit Halloween renditions and special effects including fire, fog and pyrotechnics.  Show is located in Fantasy Forest at the Big Wheel.

  • Hypnosteria - The amazing mentalist/comic hypnotist Denny More exercises his power of suggestion on audience participants in the Showcase Theater.

  • Dolphin Discovery: Voyage to Voodoo Island - Evenings during Fright Fest, explore the world of the enchanting Atlantic bottlenose dolphin and California sea lion in a special Halloween-themed, magical mayhem of hilarious hijinks and be spellbound by the agility and intelligence of these lovable marine mammals. Located at Fort Independence.

  • Temple of the Tiger MIB:  Predators vs. Aliens - The massive, one-of-a-kind Bengal tiger habitat features "The Men in Blue," an enthralling, Halloween-themed show evenings during Fright Fest.  Watch amazing Bengal tigers take turns stealing the spotlight as they display animal athleticism through natural behaviors like jumping, swimming, pouncing and playing.  Located in the Golden Kingdom at Temple of the Tiger.

  • The Wheel of Fright - The show will invite daring guests to spin the wheel and those who opt to chow down on night crawlers or gruesome food concoctions will be granted prizes such as front of the line access on some of Six Flags' most popular rides and attractions, free tickets and much more.

  • Haunted Midways - Themed areas provide more walk-through thrills such as fog-filled cemeteries and zombies lurking throughout the park's haunted midways.  Plus, Boardwalk will transition into a demented circus filled with side show freaks and deranged clowns, called Circus Psycho.

  • Escape from the Asylum Terror Trail- Guests will become the mental patient trying to break free from the insanity and evil down every hall.  Located in Movietown (requires additional fee.)

  • Demented Forest Terror Trail - Guests will venture through the dark side of a fairy tale swarming with ghosts, trolls and goblins.  Located next to Congo Rapids (requires additional fee.)
