The newest sensation in tower rides, SkyScreamer joins the park’s already spectacular lineup of thrills as it takes guests skyward, high above the park. The addition of SkyScreamer in Spassburg continues Six Flags Fiesta Texas’ tradition of providing thrilling rides and award-winning live entertainment. Beginning in May, guests will also be able to enjoy White Water Bay, Fiesta Texas’ FREE gigantic water park. As an added complement, a selection of new and returning show favorites will also be among the featured offerings for 2012.
Towering 200-ft. above the ground, SkyScreamer will surpass the height of the park’s quarry walls. Thirty-two guests will board the ride and sit two across in open air swings as they climb to the top of the SkyScreamer tower while spinning round and round. At full swing, guests will soar in a 98-ft. circle at speeds of 40 mph with the rest of the park far below their dangling feet.
“SkyScreamer will provide a breathtaking, panoramic view towering above our unique park setting. From the vantage point of these thrilling, open-air swings, guests will have an unusual birds’ eye perspective of the San Antonio skyline as they soar to new heights,” stated Park President Martin Bozer.
By day, guests will have an aerial view for miles past the cliff walls and even into downtown. SkyScreamer will take flight in Spring 2012. For more information, including a video, on upcoming 2012 Six Flags attractions,

Among the many shows, take a trip back to when Rock-and-Roll was young, saddle shoes were the rage and poodle skirts were in fashion during Rockin’ at Rockville High (20th Anniversary). Set in the Rockville High Theatre, this nostalgic ‘50s era show tells the story of teenage love, school spirit and dreams from a simpler time. Featuring classic music from the time, including favorites like “Unchained Melody” and “Johnny Be Good,” this show is inspired by the ’92 original production.
New for 2012, Country Chart Toppers will showcase the diverse sounds and styles of country music. Set in Sundance Theatre, this new show will feature current favorites destined to be tomorrow’s classics, including “Sparks Fly” and “Don’t You Wanna Stay.” Later this spring, join our performers and live band for Grassroots Country. This new show pays tribute to some favorite Bluegrass and Country classics in Sundance Theatre.
Important Fiesta Texas cast members are always the Looney Tunes performing their best in dance and song! Set in Sangerfest Halle, Looney Tunes We Got the Beat will highlight Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Tweety and their Looney Tunes pals as they entertain kids of all ages.
The bright lights of Broadway return to Six Flags Fiesta Texas this season with Ovation! Set in the Zaragoza Theatre, this exciting new production incorporates video projection, special effects, unique lighting and elaborate costumes to create an electric, high-energy event. Ovation features approximately 20 performers, many from other award-winning park shows, and a nine-piece band highlighting Broadway classics and recent Broadway hits.
Also returning this summer is Lone Star Nights Laser and Fireworks Celebration. Broadcast on a football field-sized section of the park’s quarry walls, the production includes enhanced video projection, new lasers, audio, custom pyrotechnics and special effects. The celebratory storyline is a salute to the Lone Star State of today, highlighting the various cultures, places and people that make Texas unique. Another summer favorite, White Water Bay, provides numerous thrilling and family friendly options for cooling off during a warm south Texas summer. All of the water parks’ numerous attractions including tube slides, a wave pool, speed slides and kid’s areas are always included FREE with park admission.
Guests may enjoy Six Flags Fiesta Texas all season long including the new SkyScreamer, concerts and special 20th Anniversary events with a 2012 Season Pass. Purchase a 2012 Season Pass 4-Pack and receive a special price of $59.99 (plus tax) per pass. A Season Pass offers unlimited visits to both the theme park and White Water Bay water park and comes with over $300 of in-park savings on food, games and souvenirs, free tickets for friends and access to exclusive events.
