Fright Fest 2012, a frightfully fun festival beginning October 6. Master of fright, Mayor Slayer, and his fiendish posse of creatures lurk around every corner ensuring a ghoulish fun time for everyone! Don’t miss out on spooktacular live entertainment, chill-inducing rides and spine-tingling excitement for the whole family that will surely keep you on the edge of your seat. On October 6, join Six Flags Fiesta Texas as we prepare a juicy buffet of frightfully delicious giant Madagascar Cockroaches! The park will host the Annual Cockroach Eating Contest to see who can stomach the creepy-crawly bugs! Located in Sundance Theater, participants of the cockroach contest will receive a very special commemorative t-shirt to proudly honor this delicious meal. Are you among the bravest? The participant who most creatively eats their cockroach (by audience vote), will win a special prize package!
Join your favorite classic Halloween characters, as they make their terrifying debut at Zaragoza Theater with Creature Feature! With a cast of 10 characters including Frankie, The Bride, Drac, and Wolfie, this band of macabre monsters will thrill you to the bone with a fantastic musical experience that will leave your bones shaking! The song list features River Deep, Mountain High, Walk This Way, and Let’s Go Crazy.
Witness the ultimate musical resurrection of famous phantoms as they perform from beyond the grave during Last Chance Legends in American Deadstand located in Sundance Theater. “Ghost” Stiff Clark hosts a twist of horror on classic musical favorites such as “Stand by Your Man”, performed by Tammy Spraynet and “Break on Through”, by Jim Morgueson. These fiendish performers will be accompanied by the late “king of rock” Pelvis Wrestly, the dreadfully divine Whitney Ghoulston, fiendish legend Roy Obituaryson, and Mama Casket.
Also, The Looney Tunes Halloween Dance Party features Bugs and the rest of the Looney Tunes gang in Sangerfest Halle dancing along to such wickedly fun songs as The Monster Mash and The Time Warp. Families may also participate in Halloween traditions during Fright Fest, including Bugs Bunny & Friends Trick-or-Treating at Teatro Fiesta.
For the tiny goblins in your group, come dance and enjoy fun interaction with Cornelius- The Not So Very Scary Scarecrow! Located at the Kidzopolis Stage, this kid friendly spectacular invites the tiny tykes in your group for a fun sing-along experience designed to teach them about Halloween safety.
Mayor Slayer’s Midnight Mansion returns to darken the streets of
Six Flags Fiesta Texas this season, so beware when the clock strikes 13. Find yourself a witness to the mansion master’s wake after his tragic and untimely death. Explore 13 spooky rooms- including the parlor, the library, and a hall of portraits, a haunted crypt and eerie dungeon- and be sure to avoid the restless, vengeful spirits of the house who are rumored to rise from the dead on the 13th hour with a thirst for unwelcome visitors. This ghostly adventure takes place inside Mi Pueblito in Los Festivales nightly for a nominal fee.
For creepy chills, scathing zombies and nostalgia inducing horror, Six Flags Fiesta Texas announces RockKill High School! Stop by and visit an entirely new horrific haunted house themed in retro ‘50s horror décor, for haunting and chilling scares! This gory haunted house features never-before-seen scares and horrors as gory and gruesome creatures lurk around every corner. Walk through creepy roach-infested biology labs, on through a vengeful locker room filled with ghastly spirits, all which lead you to a macabre haunted library. RockKill High School will be set in Rockville High and will induce horrors sending you back in time for a nominal fee.
Those daring to stay after park closing will experience the thrilling, spooktacular, and fearsome finale with Mayor Slayer’s Monster Mash Bash in Lone Star Lil’s Amphitheatre. Dressed in steam-punk décor Mayor Slayer leads an ensemble cast as Monster Mash Bash returns better than ever! Join the excitement as a live band and dozens of talented singers and dancers perform a myriad of songs from various genres, ranging from the classic rock of Queen and the modern musical stylings of Evanescence and My Chemical Romance. This performance of rock music, lights, pyrotechnics, and video projection screens is sure to send chills and thrills down your spine!
