DOLPHIN NAMING CONTEST

Official Contest Rules

1. No purchase is necessary to enter or win. All federal, state, local and municipal laws and regulations apply. Void where prohibited.
   


2. Contest Description: two Atlantic bottlenose dolphins were born at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom in May and June of this year, and the public is invited to name them. In honor of the presenting sponsor of the Merlin's Island Party Show Presented by Hawaiian Airlines, the name chosen for each of the two dolphin calves should be Hawaiian in origin, a Hawaiian word or name and in the Hawaiian language. Selection of the name may require research and should include the entrant's reason for choosing their name.
   


3. Required Information: Each entry should include entrant's full name (and parent or guardian if under 18), mailing address, daytime phone number and email address. Submissions which fail to include this information will not be considered valid.
   


4. There are six ways to enter:

   5. Enter by completing all of the required information and following all the instructions on an Official Entry Form acquired at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom (during daily operating hours July 3 through July 25, 2010 and submitting entry to Guest Relations at Explorer Outpost.

5. All entries must be deposited, postmarked or sent electronically by 11:59 a.m. PST on Sunday, July 25, 2010. There is no limit to the number of entries received per person. There will be two names, one for each dolphin. By entering, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Contest Rules. The top 20 names chosen by a panel comprised of Six Flags Discovery Kingdom staff will be given to a panel of Hawaiian Airlines judges for final selection. The winning names of each of the dolphins will be announced to the public via Six Flags Discovery Kingdom's web site, Hawaiian Airlines’ web site and Six Flags Discovery Kingdom’s park Facebook page, and via press release on or about July 30, 2010.
   


6. All entries submitted will belong exclusively to Six Flags Discovery Kingdom and will not be returned. Six Flags Discovery Kingdom shall have the right to use, assign or dispose of entries however it sees fit without approval of or compensation to entrants or any third parties. Six Flags Discovery Kingdom has the right, but not the obligation, to use the dolphin names chosen in this contest. Entrants will have no right of review or approval of how their entries will be used by the park and shall not receive any compensation or credit for use of their entries other than that which is disclosed in these Official Contest Rules.
   


7. Any questions regarding the number of entries submitted shall be determined by Six Flags Discovery Kingdom in its sole, reasonable discretion. All decisions made by Six Flags Discovery Kingdom are binding and final. Six Flags Discovery Kingdom reserves all naming rights of the dolphin calves born in May and June of 2010.
   


8. PRIZES: Two winners, one for each dolphin calf name. The winners will each receive 80,000 HawaiianMiles, equivalent to coach roundtrip airfare for two to Hawaii on Hawaiian Airlines. The number of HawaiianMiles being rewarded is equivalent to the minimum number of miles at the supersaver level. Once the miles are deposited into the recipients account, the terms and conditions of the HawaiianMiles program apply.
   


9. ODDS: The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.
   


10. Winner notification and acceptance: If there is a duplication of the winning entry, all valid entries will be placed in a random drawing for the final winner to be chosen. The winner will be notified by phone, email and/or mail on or about July 30, 2010. The winner or winner’s parent/guardian if under 18 agrees to allow Six Flags Discovery Kingdom to use his/her name for publicity purposes.
    


11. Participation: Participation in the contest constitutes an agreement by each entrant to comply with these Official Contest Rules. Contest entrants will not be compensated or reimbursed for their name submissions. Six Flags Discovery Kingdom is not responsible for lost, late or misdirected entries.
