Fright Fest Presented by SNICKERS® at
Six Flags Discovery Kingdom
Thrills by Day, Fright by Night
Fright Fest Presented by SNICKERS® is Northern California’s original Halloween theme park event. Six Flags Discovery Kingdom is transformed into a shadow land of zombies, ghosts and ghouls starting October 2 and will run Saturdays and Sundays through Halloween Day, October 31 (also open Friday, October 29). During the day, enjoy family-friendly activities including trick or treating, shows and entertainment and at night, brave haunted mazes, themed scare zones and spooky theatrical productions.
This year, Fright Fest returns with its blood-spattered butcher factory, Bayou Hazard, a ghoulish haunted maze not for the faint of heart. All new this year is Slasherville, an equally gruesome haunted maze that will terrorize unsuspecting fright-seekers as they make their way through the dark corridors of this bone-chilling ghostly residence. A nominal fee is required to enjoy the haunted mazes.
For kids, frightening fun is in store with treats along the Twick or Tweet Twail Presented by Walgreens; for the whole family, the park’s sea lions take on Halloween in the Super Spooky Sea Lion Show; guests are in for a real treat as the park’s dolphins put their own retro spin at Club Cetacean dolphin show, while Shouka’s killer whale costume is no disguise in her own Halloween show, Shouka Nights. Spooky things prevail during the Bird Drop Inn bird show and at the Witches Brew and Island Zoo animal show.
A special blood donor drive to benefit the Blood Centers of the Pacific will take place on October 16 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Operating hours vary. 2011 Season Passes are now on sale for just $49.99 when four or more are purchased ($59.99 when purchased individually). 2011 Season Pass holders can enjoy Fright Fest and the rest of the 2010 operating season, including a free ticket to Holiday in the Park which runs November 26 through January 2, 2011.
