ODIN'S TEMPLE OF THE TIGER OPENS AT SIX FLAGS
DISCOVERY KINGDOM

World-famous white tiger makes a splash in new show
and attraction

Six Flags Discovery Kingdom proudly announces the opening of Odin's Temple of the Tiger, an all-new tiger show and exhibit, named after Odin, the park's popular male white Bengal tiger. This awe-inspiring attraction showcases an exciting display of power and agility and introduces playful cubs Akasha and Nalin.

“We've taken our popular tiger show to the next level and staged it in a more cultural setting to give audiences a better sense of the origin and natural behaviors of these amazing animals,” said Eric Gilbert, Park President. “The show will be engaging, inspiring and immensely entertaining.”

The new Odin's Temple of the Tiger is located at the site of the former Jungle Theater. The venue has been completely revamped to accommodate the big cats and provide arena seating for up to 2,500 guests. A main stage now features a large glass-fronted pool offering a unique underwater view of the tigers.

Guests will also be able to view any of the park's 11 tigers relaxing in an outdoor observation yard, complete with a waterfall. A second off-exhibit exercise yard allows staff to rotate the tigers from their individual backstage enclosures throughout the day.

Over the years, guests have been captivated by the amazing spectacle of seeing Odin swimming underwater as he chased after chunks of red meat, highlighting the tigers' natural affinity for water.

Odin's feats exploded onto the national and international scene in 2007 with the publication of photos — eyes wide open and teeth bearing underwater — in a UK newspaper. Those images were soon followed by stories in the Associated Press, Getty News Images and News Ltd., along with video which aired on Japanese and Korean television stations. Odin was even featured in Sports Illustrated and
In Touch Magazine and soon became a viral sensation on hundreds of blogs and web sites. In 2008, Ripley Publishing featured Odin in a two-page photo spread in their book, “Ripley's Believe It Or Not! Prepare to be Shocked” and he'll also be included in an upcoming Ripley book on amazing animals.

“We knew we had a phenom on our hands,” added Gilbert. “Odin's Temple
of the Tiger is a natural extension of what is clearly becoming the Odin Brand. This platform gives us the opportunity to build on that brand and discuss the importance of tiger conservation.”
