Better Entertainment, Better Service, Better Value
and Close to Home
To coincide with the recent grand opening of its newest roller coaster, Tony Hawk's Big Spin, Six Flags Discovery Kingdom announced today it is rolling back the main gate price by $10, effective immediately.
"For those families who may choose to stay closer to home this summer, Six Flags Discovery Kingdom is the premier entertainment destination," said Eric Gilbert, park president. "Six Flags offers a full value menu that includes unique animal attractions, exciting shows and the best thrill rides in Northern California, all at a family-friendly price."
The all-new Tony Hawk's Big Spin joins the exciting thrill ride line-up in the Sky portion of the Land, Sea and Sky thematic areas. Standing five-stories tall, this free-spinning roller coaster, designed to simulate the moves of professional skateboarder Tony Hawk, represents a $6.5 million investment. Last season, the park opened its third kids' play area, Thomas Town(SM), rounding out a more family-friendly destination package. With last year's successful rebranding to reflect the unique wildlife and theme park attributes and over 40 rides and attractions including eight roller coasters, Six Flags Discovery Kingdom is recognized as a world-class leader in thrilling entertainment.
"The entertainment value this year includes new wildlife shows, live music and entertainment, interactive animal experiences and it's our longest season ever," said Gilbert. "By reducing our main gate price, we're making a visit to Six Flags a more affordable option for families in search of fun and value."
The 135-acre park is located on 1001 Fairgrounds Drive, Vallejo, off Interstate 80, just 30 miles northeast of San Francisco, 50 miles southwest of Sacramento. For more information and to purchase tickets online, visit www.sixflags.com/discoverykingdom.
