Holiday in the Park

Land, Sea and Sky transform to Land, Sea and SNOW in this third annual holiday offering as Six Flags Discovery Kingdom presents Holiday in the Parks weekends starting Friday, November 27 through December 13, and daily from December 19 to January 3, 2010 (closed December 24 and 25).

Themed holiday wonderlands feature life-sized toys, non-stop entertainment and festively decorated areas to get everyone into the holiday spirit. Experience the display of a majestic faux Christmas tree and we've doubled the size of Blitzen's Wonderland Mountain for more fun sledding down the snowy hill. Among the myriad of Holiday in the Park offerings are:

Main Street Festival of Lights - your holiday adventure begins and ends here under the canopy of one of the biggest Christmas trees around, an 80-foot-tall white fir. You won't want to miss the nightly tree lighting ceremony and holiday parade.

Blitzen's Wonderland Mountain - back by popular demand is the giant snow hill - now more than double the hill we had last year! The kids will also love to play in Prancer's Snow Play Area and have fun in the snow!

Santa's Workshop - visit Santa's industrious toy-making shop and get your picture taken with Shouka and Merlin.

Candy Cane Lane - stroll through this canopy of larger-than-life candy canes and lollipops

Toy Land - meet an enormous Nutcracker soldier, teddy bear and other gigantic toys

Reindeer Village - meet all eight of Santa's reindeers, from Cupid, to Donner, to Vixen to Blitzen!

Christmas Tree Forest - walk past a dazzling display of lighted trees and take in the fresh aroma

Non-Stop Holiday Entertainment!

Share a DREAM with Shouka the killer whale in this delightful holiday presentation among Holiday in the Park's line-up of live wildlife and family-oriented entertainment.

A Dolphin Holiday - our Atlantic bottlenose dolphins will get you into the holiday spirit - like them, you'll be jumping for joy!

Super Spirited Sea Lions Save Christmas - It's a race to save Christmas from meanies up to no good. Thanks to our flippered friends, we can all breathe a sigh of relief that Christmas is here to stay.

Your Favorite Rides and Attractions will be open during Holiday in the Park

Among the rides and attractions open during Holiday in the Park will be our thrilling roller coasters Medusa, Roar, Kong and Tony Hawk's Big Spin. Other featured rides open during the event are Cobra, Hammerhead, Go Carts, bumper cars, Wave Jumper and Wave Swinger.

Kids will also be able to enjoy Thomas Town and Looney Tunes Seaport!

Please be advised that the LAND area of the park will be closed during Holiday in the Park.

Enjoy the Tastes of the Season!

A sensational array of food and hearty edible treats are in store during your Holiday in the Park visit. Have some hot cocoa or egg nog while you enjoy the parade, or sit back and relax by one of the many fire pits with a bag of roasted chestnuts.

And don't forget New Year's Eve!

Mark your calendars to ring in the new year at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom. This family-friendly New Year's Eve is fun alternative and a great place to spend new year's with the family. Hours are 3 p.m. to midnight.
