Spooktacular Halloween thrills and chills found
at Six Flags America's Fright Fest!

Baltimore/Washington's largest celebration of frights and fun held weekends October 3 - November 1

Six Flags America, the Nation's Capital of MORE FLAGS and MORE FUN will add MORE THRILLS and MORE CHILLS this October at Fright Fest presented by SNICKERS®, the Baltimore/Washington region's largest and most spook-tacular Halloween Celebration. Beginning Saturday, October 3, 2009, Fright Fest returns for another sensational season, inviting ghouls and goblins of all ages to experience "Thrills by Day, Chills by Night” — a family-friendly theme park filled with awe-inspiring rides and themed shows during the day that transforms into creepy fun after dark!

The highlight of Fright Fest 2009 is the return of The Haunted TRAIN a popular attraction who's demise in 2005 inspired fans to scream, howl, clamor, and claw for its resurrection. This year's theme is the PARANORMAL STUDIOS: A HAUNTED TOUR, a spooky glimpse at a decrepit movie studio known for some of cinema's most chilling productions. Departing every fifteen minutes, the train takes visitors deep behind the scenes on a tour that won't soon be forgotten.

Six Flags America offers thrills for guests of every age during the day, with special Halloween-themed activities and all of the park's rides, games, and attractions. In the evening, the park shifts to a chilling domain where monsters lurk in dark alleys and roller coasters like BATWING and SUPERMAN: Ride of Steel aren't the only things inspiring screams.

FAMILY THRILLS

Little ghouls and goblins will have nothing to fear as Six Flags America will host a special just-for-them holiday celebration at Looney Tunes Movie Town — renamed Looney Tunes Spooky Town during Fright Fest. Family-friendly, startle-free activities include:

  • TRICK OR TREAT TRAIL - Parents will love watching their children (under 54”) trick or treat in a safe and exciting environment in Looney Tunes Spooky Town. The Trick or Treat Trail operates from 5:30 - 8:30p.m. Costumes welcome on little goblins only (Under 54”); no masks.

  • NOT-SO-SCARY KIDDIE HAYRIDE - Kids can take a load off as they ride through a scaled-down hayride themed exclusively for small ghouls and goblins. Hosted nightly from 5:30- 8:30p.m.

  • MONSTER MASH BASH - Get ready to rock with Frankenstein & Friends as they perform in this monstrously fun, family-friendly spooktacular, singing and dancing to 'spooky' renditions of popular songs. Monster Mash Bash takes place on the Spooky Town Stage nightly.

  • CHARACTER GREETINGS - Bugs Bunny, Sylvester, Tweety, and Taz get into the Halloween spirit at Six Flags America, greeting guests while wearing their own special, holiday-themed costumes.

SPOOKY CHILLS

After 6:00p.m., Six Flags America transforms from theme park thrills to Halloween chills as the park converts to a truly haunting playground for ghosts, ghouls, phantoms, and monsters of all types. Among the shows and attractions presented during Fright Fest:

  • PARANORMAL STUDIOS: A HAUNTED TOUR - BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND! - Guests climb aboard Capital Railways for a guided tour behind the scenes at Paranormal Studios. But their peaceful ride is interrupted by a disgruntled tour guide of days gone by, making everyone wonder if they'll make it out alive. Separate ticket required for the Paranormal Studios tour ($5.00 per person/ $20.00 for a group of five).

  • CLAW'S REVENGE - A HALLOWEEN STUNT ADVENTURE - NEW! - It is not advisable to awaken dead pirates… In this special Halloween-themed stunt spectacular, audiences will enjoy a modern day sequel to the 2009 summer hit A Pirate's Tale stunt show.

  • MR. SIX'S SCARY DANCE PARTY - NEW! - Guests join the excitement with Mr. Six, the authority on FUN and all things Halloween as they move their feet to some of the season's spookiest songs! Only the sickest swings and the scariest stomps score on his fun-o-meter!

  • SCARE ZONES - Guests beware as they travel along the paths, ducking into dark corners for the scare of their lives! One never knows who - or what - may be lurking in the shadows!

  • BRIDGE OF TERROR - Beware! Things that go bump in the night have a special affinity for this haunted bridge. A face-to-face monster encounter is inevitable… Be warned: these angry souls are searching for eternal rest…get across the bridge before they get YOU!

  • FRIGHTMARES - They're creepy and they're kooky but they're everyone's favorite monsters and… they're back again putting their cold-hearted, humorous twist on some of the trendiest pop songs!

  • TOXIC ZOMBIE ROCK - THE FINAL BREATH - Zombies are on the loose, preparing for the full moon and anticipating the most inTOXICating night of the year: HALLOWEEN. These creatures are looking to infect everyone with…dance fever!!!
