2009 SUMMER CONCERT SERIES
Jesse McCartney, Mitchel Musso, Metro Station, Flo Rida, and Raven-Symoné among headliners in Maryland park's
Biggest Concert Series ever
Six Flags America, the Nation's Capital of MORE FLAGS… MORE FUN, announces an exciting lineup of the music industry's hottest acts for its 2009 STARBURST® Summer Concert Series presented by T-Mobile® This unique series, the park's biggest ever, offers guests a diversified concert experience covering Pop, R&B and Rock and is guaranteed to deliver on Six Flags America's' mission this summer — More Value…More Music…More Flags… More Fun. Concerts are FREE with paid park admission or a 2009 Play Pass.

The 2009 STARBURST® Summer Concert Series kicked off on Monday, June 8 with a performance by Jesse McCartney. The artists scheduled to perform this summer at Six Flags America include:
- Jesse McCartney - Acting and singing since the age of seven, Jesse McCartney's music career took off in 2004 with his multi-platinum debut album, Beautiful Soul. His latest single “How Do You Sleep?” from his third studio album Departure, is currently soaring up the pop radio charts. Jesse's varied career has also included touring with Brittany Spears, performances both on and off Broadway, and guest starring on television in the hit shows The Suite Life of Zack & Cody, Hannah Montana, and Greek.
- Soulja Boy Tell 'Em - Before he reached the age of 18, Soulja Boy Tell 'Em was already an ambitious artist, seasoned businessman, and hit maker in his hometown of Atlanta. The internet rocketed him to stardom when he released his first major single “Crank Dat (Soulja Boy)” on MySpace. The song quickly shattered site records and took him to success on domestic and international pop charts. (In concert at Six Flags America on Tuesday, June 23, 2009)
- Mitchel Musso - Best known for his role as Oliver Oken on the hit Disney Channel series Hannah Montana and the blockbuster film the show inspired, Mitchel Musso is a talented actor, singer, and rapper. His debut single, “The In Crowd” premiered in late 2008. Mitchell has also performed on compilation albums DisneyMania 6 and Radio Disney Jams, Vols. 10 & 11. - The Plain White T's - Punk-pop outfit The Plain White T's performed together for more than a decade around Chicago before their acoustic ballad “Hey There, Delilah” made them worldwide stars and earned two GRAMMY® nominations. In 2008, The Plain White T's second wide release Big Bad World featured the band's special mix of spunky energy, pop, and rock, meeting with critical and fan acclaim. - Raven-Symoné - From the time she was three years old, Raven-Symoné has charmed audiences with her incredible talent in television, movies, and music. First known as Olivia Kendall on The Cosby Show, her career has skyrocketed into starring roles in That's So Raven and The Cheetah Girls along with her soundtrack albums. Raven has also lent her voice to the animated series Kim Possible, for the character Monique. (In concert at Six Flags America on Wednesday, July 8, 2009)
- Drake Bell - The recipient of several Kids and Teen Choice Awards in the US and internationally, Drake Bell is a singer, songwriter, and actor best known for his starring role on Nickelodeon's Drake & Josh. Bell will sing his hit songs including “I Know” and “Found A Way,” his television show's theme song. Drake Bell is currently working on his third album, slated for a 2009 release. - Metro Station - Headlined by Trace Cyrus and Mason Musso, Metro Station first gained rabid popularity on MySpace and was named “One of the “22 Best Underground Bands (That Likely Won't Stay Underground for Long)” by Alternative Press magazine in July 2007. The pop band rocketed to top 10 charts around the world in 2008 with their song “Shake It” on their self-titled debut album. (In concert at Six Flags America on Thursday, August 6, 2009)
- Flo Rida - Miami-native Flo Rida took the hip-hop world by storm in 2008 with his blockbuster debut album Mail On Sunday, which featured the world-wide mega-hit, “Low,” which won the People's Choice Award for “Favorite Hip-Hop Song” and two Grammy nominations. His latest single “Right Round,” from his upcoming sophomore album R.O.O.T.S shattered digital download records earlier this year, selling more than 600,000 downloads in its first week, making it the fastest million-selling digital song ever and reaching platinum status in just two weeks.
