America, Baltimore/Washington, DC

Six Flags Friends is a series of programs throughout the Six Flags family of parks that make a difference in communities by encouraging local involvement, supporting the mission of various non-profit organizations and bringing the thrill of Six Flags to children and families across North America.

Six Flags Friends is a proud supporter of hundreds of organizations throughout our Six Flags communities. Through our national partnerships, we successfully utilize our geographic span to make a difference as a unified family of parks. Six Flags America is also pleased to support the work of local organizations that make an impact in our surrounding neighborhoods.  It is the work of the organizations below that truly make our cities a better place to live, work and enjoy.

Six Flags Friends is dedicated to furthering the mission of the following organizations

Ronald McDonald House

By creating, finding and supporting programs that directly improve the health and well-being of children, Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) is working to better the lives of children and their families around the world.  In addition to offering free admission to families staying at the three area Ronald McDonald Houses in Baltimore, DC and Northern Virginia, Six Flags Friends is proud to participate in a Six Flags/Ronald McDonald rebate program. A portion of each Six Flags America ticket purchased with a special McDonald's Coupon (available at local McDonald's restaurants) goes directly to the local Ronald McDonald House Charities.

Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption

Created by Wendy's founder Dave Thomas, who was adopted as a child, the Foundation works with adoption advocates and officials to streamline the adoption process and make adoption more affordable for families.  As the only foundation dedicated exclusively to foster care adoption, it is driven by Dave's simple value:  Do what's best for the child. A proceed of every Six Flags America ticket purchased with a special Wendy's coupon (available at local Wendy's restaurants) goes directly to the Foundation.

DC Central Kitchen

Since its inception, DC Central Kitchen has recovered unused food, prepared and delivered meals to partner social service agencies, trained and employed homeless men and women for the food service industry, and intellectually engaged volunteers. Since partnering with DC Central Kitchen in 2005, Six Flags America has donated over 15,000 pounds of food to feed children and adults throughout the greater Washington area.

Make-A-Wish Foundation

Since 1980, the Make-A-Wish Foundation® has enriched the lives of children with life-threatening medical conditions through its wish-granting work.  Six Flags Friends is proud to be a part of this amazing wish-granting organization and is excited to fulfill the wishes of children who dream of visiting Six Flags America.

Toys For Tots

The mission of the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program is to collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December each year and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to needy children in the community in which the campaign is conducted. The program is a national effort administered locally, where toys are collected and then distributed to  children in need. The success of the program relies on volunteer support and community involvement. Six Flags Friends supports this program by hosting an annual Santa Splash Christmas in July event in Hurricane Harbor water park, which includes a toy donation drive.

American Red Cross

Six Flags Friends is honored to partner with the American Red Cross, Greater Chesapeake and Potomac Blood Services Region by hosting an annual blood drive at Six Flags America each October to kick off Fright Fest. Donors who participate in this unique event receive a FREE ticket to Fright Fest.

Six Flags America Ticket Donation Program

Each season, Six Flags Friends donates Six Flags America tickets to charitable and non-profit organizations in support of their fundraising efforts in the Mid Atlantic Region of the United States. Tickets are given to those not-for-profit organizations holding an event that helps to raise money for a specific children's group by way of raffle, auction, or silent auction.  Tickets may also be used for literacy and other educational incentive programs. Since being branded a Six Flags park in 1999, Six Flags America has donated over 20,000 tickets to several hundred non-profit organizations
